AUDIOSLAVE Guitarist, Ex-DEAD KENNEDYS Frontman To Guest On New THE COUP CD

According to PunkNews.org, AUDIOSLAVE/ex-RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE guitarist Tom Morello and punk icon Jello Biafra (ex-DEAD KENNEDYS) are among the guest musicians scheduled to appear on the upcoming full-length album from hip hop act THE COUP, entitled "Pick a Bigger Weapon". Due on April 22 via Epitaph, the CD will feature additional contributions from Dwayne Wiggins, and veterans of PARLIAMENT-FUNKADELIC, THE GAP BAND, TONI! TONY! TONE!, JESSE JOHNSON, and FRANKIE BEVERLY AND MAZE.

THE COUP are no strangers to controversy; their last album, "Party Music", was scheduled for release shortly after 9/11, but became a cultural flashpoint due to the album's original cover (completed three months prior to 9/11),which depicted the crew setting off an explosion in the World Trade Center using a guitar tuner and drumsticks.
